Hey, im having ALOT of trouble getting back to XP from a dual boot of Vista,
it goes to a black screen after i hit "older version of Windows" on the
bootscreen. so I have to turn off CPU and turn on again. Then it says, windows
had a problem it might be because of a recent software or hardware
installation. I need help getting back to XP please help me out? I dont have
a recovery CD but I have another drive or Partition on my Computer that is
named "HP_RECOVERY (D:)" but I dont know how to use it, I think its F10 but
when I tried it, nothing happend. Please Help me

Hi,

Installing Vista overwrote the customized mbr used by HP to install and
allow for recovery on your machine. You need to contact them regarding the
proper way to access the recovery partition as the XP standard will not work
(running fixmbr from a command prompt on the Recovery Console would normally
be the way to do this). A bit late to hear this, but Vista should not be
installed on a system with a recovery partition rather than recovery media
as you lose access to the recovery options (but you know this now).
