Help, Outlook will not open!

Outlook 2000. Last night I was attempting to email 4 large files (about 3
megs each), when I woke up this morning it still said "sending 1 of 4" so I
closed Outlook and now it won't open. I run the Office "detect & repair"
but it still won't open. HELP, my life is in there.
 
I forgot to mention, I do have a high speed internet connection.

I'll try the safe mode. No, there is no error message. I just get the
little hourglass for a few moments as normal then nothing.
