HELP! Outlook 2k3 cant connect to exchange server

Ive installed Outlook 2003 on my windowsXPhome edition
and im trying to connect to an exchange2000 server. when
I go to add the mailbox it says it can not connect to the
exchange server. The exact error is

"Outlook could not log on. Check to make sure you are
connected to the network and are using the proper server
and mailbox name. The connection to the Exchange Server
is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to
complete this action."..

Now, I had outlookXP on the computer prior to installing
2003 and it was working perfectly. Nothing else has
changed.

Please, I only have limited amounts of hair I can pull
out over this.

I have the same problem....No one seems to know how to
fix it short of going back and reloading lots of
software which may or may not work.
