Hi, there,

I have Windows XP Home Edition on my Dell desktop
computer. Sometimes, when I'm editing inside some
applications such as Word or Outlook Express, what I type
on the keyboard doesn't result in the correct letters.
For example, when I press the "D" key but the screen may
show the input of "R" or some other letter. If I close
the application and then restart the program, then
everything becomes normal again. I suspect it has
something to do with clipboard. I have Nortion Antivirus
and it doesn't detect anything. Can somebody help me
solve this problem? It is sometimes quite frustrating.
Thanks a lot.

Fred

I guess you can check Control Panel / Regional Options /
Language tab / Details button and find more than ONE
input language + keyboard (layout) set. For sake of
simplicity, let just one set and remove others. May this
help if is the case.

The other poster is right. Do you happen to share your computer with another
user who may use a foreign keyboard layout? Have you ever seen the Language
Bar on your applications?
