Did you check the manual for NIS 2005? The Help files? NIS has to be
configured to permit access, but I don't use it, so I have no clue. If you
are lucky, somebody who uses NIS will be along to help; however, the MVPs
in these groups dislike Symantec products, and will tell you to disable, or
even remove them. I am more neutral, but I started using Kerio Personal
Firewall long before Symantec decided to jump into that market.
