Help: Network Problem

hi,
I am using windows xp with service pack 2 in domain model.

i run the Microsoft anti-spyware beta it found few
spywares, i create the system restore point and clean all
found spywares.
After that I lost connectivity with network, I am not
able to resolve the ip from dhcp server and even if I put
static ip address it won't work. i used ipconfig on
command prompt it won't show me any thing.
I am able to ping the loop back address but I am not able
to ping static ip. So I used system restore and restore
back to previous state. It worked. So run the antispyware
again to find out what's actually a problem. I tried to
restore the quarantine spywares still won't work.

Now I am not able to resolve the problem and system
restore is also not working.

Thanks in Advance.

This is quite a quick fix:

In Windows XP, Service pack 2, go to a command prompt (start, run, cmd
<enter>)

and type

netsh winsock reset
and hit enter.

Restart the machine.

Then you can read this KB article for some background:
