help needed

i want to have the alphabet to run across the top of my page so that you can
click a letter to jump further down the page.Does anyone know how to do
that.

Type the alphabet.
Use bookmarks to link to other portions of the page. See more information
about bookmarks in the helpfiles.

I. Establish bookmarked locations.
1. Highlight the first word where clicking on A will take
you.
2. Click Insert > Bookmark
3. Type A in the box for bookmark name. Hit OK.

4. Repeat steps 1-3 for each letter of the alphabet to
establish each bookmark.

II. Establish links to bookmarks.
1. Type your alphabet at the top of the page with a space
between each letter.
2. Highlight the A.
3. Insert > Hyperlink
4. Click on the Bookmark button.
5. Click on the bookmark A.
6. Click OK.
7. Click OK.

8. Repeat steps 1-7 for each letter of the alphabet to
connect the letter to the bookmarked sections of the page.
