Help needed to run macro - problems with certification.

Argh!!!

I think I may have created a macro to resolve an earlier problem, but
when I try to run it I get...

'Macros in this workbook are disabled because the security level is
high, and the macros have not been digitally signed or verified. To run
the macros, you can either have them signed or change your security
level.'

How can I get my macros to run on my machine, where they are created,
without compromising security?

I've found and run selfcert.exe but it hasn't made any difference.
Do I need to do anything else to make this effective?

I'm a novice at this so step by step instructions assuming no prior
knowledge of this area would be appreciated.

Actually it's very easy.... to run macro successfully,

go to Tools - Macro - Security -
choose either security level is low or medium..
For medium it will prompt and ask user whether to run macro or not an
as for low system will automatically run macro without asking user

Hope this will hel

Just to add to Eugenia's response--after you change this setting, close and
reopen your workbook. (Changing the setting isn't retroactive to already opened
workbooks.)
