help needed: Outlook 2003 import error from Outlook Express

I just installed Office 2003.
I imported my Outlook Express XP email.
Hundreds of email received during 2002 are listed as
being received today at the time I did the import.

I moved all the email with the date errors into a folder
to clean up my inbox.

Does anyone know why this happened or how to correct the
received date on these email?
 
Export from Outlook Express into Outlook 2003 instead of importing them from
within Outlook 2003
