help needed java probs

I do not seem to be able to run java in IE6.
I have downloaded the Sun Java software, have enabled all the
necessary stuff in the browser itself, but whenever I try to access,
i.e. yahoo games, the browser closes down on me.

I am not completely helpless with computers, but I am far form being
proficient. I wonder if someone could help me. Thank you.

http://java-virtual-machine.net/download.html has various versions of the
Java VM. Maybe one of the others will work.

Maybe you must download java applets from Microsoft for IE6. See the
following sites, they could be helpful.

(look for "installing java virtual machine")
I have also heard that many have gotten good results if the MS virtual
machine is uninstalled.
Do you have Zone Alarm installed? There have been cases of problems
with Java and ZA.
