ok
I have a router setup (syslink broadband router)
and having alittle trouble!! my network will not renew
my DHCP ip which in turn stops me from using the internet.
I get a warning message from the event viewer in the
admin tools that say's
"Your computer was not able to renew its address from
the network (from the DHCP Server) for the Network
Card with network address *************(MAC address
was removed). The following error occurred"
then a error message saying:
"The IP address lease 192.168.1.100 for the Network
Card with network address 00064F073805 has been denied
by the DHCP server 192.168.1.1 (The DHCP Server sent a
DHCPNACK message)."
An operation was attempted on something that is not a
socket. . Your computer will continue to try and obtain
an address on its own from the network address (DHCP)
server.
I have never had this problem before (only started after
a new system was actived by my provider)
now the only way to get onthe internet is to change a
setting then change it back to force a restart and
refresh the settings. I have talk with my provider and
they say the problem is not at there end and the setup of
the network is automatic cd wizard
Can anyone help
p.s. I am on blueyonder which has started a new system
that stops the need for MAC address's
