Help! my drive D: is gone how do I get it back?

I have no idea what happened , it all started with my printer, I ended up
buying a new one, installed that and all wen't crap! I have done everything i
know to do at this point. I hate to take it to a repair shop as I have some
important new information I have yet to back or burn . any ideas????

Sheryl, if your D: drive is a cdrw/cdrom drive then go here and get the
fix for your problem
