HELP my CD Rom Drives won't read

Dupe post, but nobody answered me before - since installing (and
uninstalling) service pack 4, my CD ROM & CD RW drives can't read burned
data CDR's.

help help

No, let me try that although I don't believe I have the software for the
first drive - I purchased this from a buddy.
