Terrific--be very careful with registry editing--there's no safety
net--let's hope they manage to build this kind of cleaning operation onto
the tool--it will be a bit tricky, I think, but should be possible.

Thanks Bill! I do have that problem and possibly others.
Can I do this from Safe mode? I am the administrator but it
runs unworkably slow in my settings. I have tried to do
other things in safemode but too much is unavailable.

AGAIN!!!! Thanks BIll !!!!!!!
This worked in Safemode and it appears to have solved the
impossibly slow running and stopped all the warning
messages etc.,!!! How do I thank you ehough!!???? This is
awesome and saves me huge worry.
Microsoft needs to do something about that. Don't they! It
was scarey for me.

Yes--the process of removal for this particular item needs to be improved.
This may actually require new code in Microsoft Antispyware--there's a cat
and mouse game here which nobody wants played out in public, I suspect.

Your testimonial about the improvement in your systems operation is great to
hear--thanks for sticking with us through this process.

THanks Andy! If you look down here at the posts from today
you will see that a lot of the problem is cleared up.
However, Spybot and MASW say I am clean but Spyware Doctor
says there are a number left. I will e-mail the latest log
as soon as my computer is finished scanning. You
recommended Trojan Hunter and I am running that now.
Because of the "Mate" and the time difference are you Down
Under?
Thanks!

Hi Dan

Yeah i didnt notice it as i was typing but reading the
reply i did mention Mate a few times,It was more to let
you know i wouldnt leave you with problems and will help
you fix whatever it is but its good to hear you might of
got rid of alot of the stuff you mentioned in the
email,You done well getting rid of VX2 transponder & TV
Media because there's been alot of talk of these recently
and they tend to keep returning unless you kill everypart
so i think you got one up on the adware/trojans involved.

Im in England and usually call most people mate or pal :)
dont know why it just saves remembering loads of names i
suppose I guess your in the US then with you saying time
difference. Its 20.30pm here now so im just about to have
some food then will check for your email and see if
there's anything else that needs removing.I scanned the
first log and webrebates jumped out so that needs sorting
but will give you full details when ive seen the latest
log.Ive still not had time to read the first log in any
detail but will leave that now and work on the new one
when i receive it.Trojan Hunters a good program but like
most programs these days they are always better when they
are free so id just keep if for the 30 days then remove
it as theres plenty to choose from and notice you have
Norton installed so that will work in the same way

Anyway i'll mail you later when ive checked all the
entries in the new Hijack Log

Regards Andy
