help moving hd from old to new computer

I have an older computer with 2 hds, the slave is currently storing
most of my work files and I would like to install the slave hd in my
new computer also as a slave (no need to change the jumpers).
My question is...how easy it is for an xp sp2 machine to recognize an
hd with content from another computer/os install?
Any sort of pre-prep before I move the drive?

Most of the time it will be plug and play. Try it and post here if you
encounter any problems.

What OS did you have? Do you have same applications on new (HDD) computer?
Shouldn't be any problem. have application look at primary drive for file
locations.
