help me plz

my laptop doesnt seem to send any signals to my printer
and therfore it doesnt print. i checked if the printer is
coneceted or if smth is wrong on my other laptop but that
one works perfictly. so what should i do. i tried
everything i know. reply plz

Hi, Larz.

Have you installed proper WinXP drivers for your printer? The rules of the
game are that Microsoft writes Windows; hardware makers write the drivers
that make their hardware work with Windows. Usually, the best source for
drivers is the hardware maker's website.

Apparently, your "other laptop" does have proper drivers. Is it also using
WinXP? If so, you might be able to copy those drivers to this machine;
better yet, use the original media (floppy or CD) for the drivers to install
them on your computer. But drivers that work with Win9x/ME almost certainly
won't work with WinXP.

You can see your computers. We can't. All we know is what you've told us,
which isn't much, so there's not much we can even guess at. :>(

What make and model is your computer? Your "other laptop"? Your printer?
When we have that information, we might be able to make an intelligent
guess. Until then, we're just shooting in the dark.

We want to help you, but you are not giving us anything to go on.
