Help me make Firefox look like Mozilla (classic theme)....
Please!

It's time to bite the dust and install Firefox and Thunderbird again,
since the Suite's future is very doubtful.

But I'm conservative as hell and I wan't Firefox to look like the good
old Classic Theme :)

Tried Perennial, but it does not work in Firefox 1.02 -

http://update-dev2.mozilla.org/themes/moreinfo.php?application=firefox&version=1.0+&id=266

Anyone know of some other theme (can't find anything similar on Mozilla
Update) ?

Thanks in advance!

Is this
https://addons.update.mozilla.org/t...refox&version=1.0&os=Windows&numpg=100&id=103
the one you mean?

Screenshot:
http://img160.echo.cx/img160/4069/screenshot8qe.gif

Download:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/themes/graymodern/graymodern-0.6.2-fx.jar

I tested it on Firefox 1.02 , and it installs and works fine (exually
all extensions & themees should mostly work on 1.0x, even if written
for 1.0)

P.S. Sorry, I confused classic with modern mozilla theme, because
it's a long time ago that I last used mozilla suite, the links I gave
you are not what you want.

Looked for classic mozilla theme for firefox, but no success.

You might need to look for an other theme..., maybe you like the one I
use? = :))

Found it! The link is here:
http://www.deviantart.com/download/10768290/

It works in Firefox 1.02 - Screenshot:
http://img187.echo.cx/img187/456/linkishere8vc.gif

This link does not work because the link to 'Install Now' pn tha page
points to a file which does not exist at that location

Hope it helped!

P.S. If you go to http://www.deviantart.com/download/10768290/ it
doesn't ask you if you want to install, but it asks where you want to
save the file. Save, for example to dektop

Then, in Firefox go to Menu, Tools, Theme's.

Minimize Firefox, and drag the file 'perennial_0_2_1.jar' (which you
saved to your desktop) to within the window of 'Theme's', then it will
ask you to install.

In Theme window select your new theme, and click on button 'Use Theme'

Restart Firefox and it should be working.

The Cpatain, whoever he is, hasn't made a XPI package out of it. Maybe
that's because it's such an ugly theme. ;)

I don't see any XPI package on that page, and it -replaces- the
default Firefox theme, which might not be desirable?

Anyway = ;-))

"The Cpatain, whoever he is". On page:
http://www.captain.at/

is written:

"Captain's Universe

is a huge interdisciplinary conglomerate of mostly scientific
websites. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!

Captain's Universe was established in 1996. The Captain himself
utilizes the net since 1994. His first action on the net was a FTP
transfer of an image of the Jupiter-Comet collision
(http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/sl9/) in 1994."

Have a nice day = :)

Why do you say this? MoFo has committed to keeping 1.7.6 crtically updated
for at least 2 years.

Thanks for the link. I had found that and used it, but it was not
exactly what I was looking for. Now I have Perennial working and is very
happy :)

Yes, correct. But now more development. The 1.8 branch will become a
testbed for FF and TB, and I don't know how well the "new guys" who
wants to continue seamonkey will do...

And there is a couple of extensions in Firefox I almost can't live
without... who's not in the suite.

I think that's the best argument for switching at this point. For the
foreseeable future, extension developers will be writing for Firefox
and Thunderbird much more than for the Seamonkey suite. But anyone
who's happy with the suite's current features and extensions doesn't
have much reason to switch any time soon.

I'm glad Otto found the right theme for you. And my apologies to the
Captain (whoever he is ;) for musspeeling his moniker.
