do you have a password hint? the only thing you can do is log on as different user and create another admin account. you won't be able to get the old password back but you can change it. you do have a guest account right? one more thing. you can create a password disk in case of , well, your case. or you can simply write it down on paper, which you are probably wishing you did right now. gl.

Log in as The Administrator. In Home (as you don't tell us what version you
have) boot into Safe Mode. In Pro, at the Welcome Screen press Ctl-Alt-Del
twice.
You can then re-set your user password.

If you are using the built-in administrator account on a daily basis, and
have forgotten THAT password, then this is a very good demonstration as to
why you should NOT use the built-in Administrator login on a daily basis.

With luck, this is where the reserve, emergency account *called*
Administrator comes in. Boot, hitting F8 as BIOS info goes to black;
take Safe Mode, There will then be an icon for Administrator on the
Welcome screen. (If not, hit CTL-ALT-DEL twice and enter the explicit
name
Administrator
and leave the password blank)

In that, Start - Run the line
control userpasswords2
where you can select any account name and Reset Password
