I have two desktop computers, one running on 98SE and the
other on XP. I also have a laptop with XP. The laptop is
connected to the internet through a wireless card
connecting to a router and cable modem. The desktops are
hardwired to the router. I ran the network wizard for the
desktops and was able to connect them to a workgroup
except the laptop which the network wizard would not
reconize. I also ran the network wizard on the laptop and
the first time it did not reconize the two desktops and
it disabled my wireless internet connection. I had to use
the restore system to set everything back right. The next
time I ran the wizard it reconized one of the desktops. I
attempted to access the desktop and a error message
stated that I needed to type in the right path to access
the desktop. What I am trying to do is connect the laptop
so I can share printer and files. I am not interested in
internet sharing but I will if that is part of it. Can
someone help please or tell me how to get information to
help me. Thanks.

From a command prompt, type: ipconfig /all . There is a space before the
"/". Post the results here as a response. Also, disable the xp
firewall, and check the TCP/IP settings for enabling NetBios over
TCP/IP, and that the workgroup name is exactly the same on all
computers.
