Help - .MDB file converted to .XPS file - Need to restore to .MDB

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help. I recently created a .MDB file using an
inventory program. File saved and backed-up. Subsequently wanted to open
the file and did so on a computer that did not have the program used to
create the .MDB file.

Double - clicked the file and it converted and opened as an .XPS file which
is ok cause I can read the contents but I would like to convert it back to
original format so I can import the contents into the inventory program.

Anythoughts or guidance you can provide is apprecaited. Thanks in adavance.

Good luck... you'll need it.

The builtin binary systems tables have almost surely been destroyed by this
conversion, and I can't imagine any way to get them back. What software
handles .XPS files? PostScript or something else?

Word 2007 can convert a document to XPS.
Indeed, this file is toast. There used to be a similar way in older
versions of Office to use Word to destroy your MDB: just open it in
Word and let AutoSave kick in.
Hopefully the OP has a good backup.
