I must be typing my question wrong in google.
I've lost the view that I had in Windows Explorer. I'm back to the
Windows XP default. What I want when I open Explorer is the emphasis to
be on the "C" drive.
I know that I added a (not sure what you call it) like a "/" and a
letter or some letters after that.
If my question is confusing, I guess it's because I don't really know
how to word it. I just want Windows Explorer to open defaulted to the
"C" drive.

Find the shortcut that you use to launch it (eg the menu entry in All
Programs - Accessories; right click ; Properties and set the 'Target' as

C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe /e,/select,C:

Which will open to show drives with C: pre-selected.

You can have it open within C with say Windows pre-selected by adding
that folder name at the end:
C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe /e,/select,C:\windows
