Hi, I'm a gentle mother of 5, however I am ready to rip my
hair out now. The scenario is that I have this laptop with
Win 2000 Pro,yet I am only using it for home use. Problem
is , is that the sucker keeps booting into safe mode and I
can not get it into normal mode.Sooo, that means that I
can't install my Roxio CD and DVD creator, etc., Also, how
do I "get" my computer to allow me access into my own
stuff if I am not affilaited with any domain? I know
nothing about Pro and it sucks. All I know is 98 and ME.
Is it possible for me to purchase XP Home and all will be
honky dorey once I can boot back into normal mode and
install it? Help please! Thanks for any help guys and
dolls!~~Trish

Have you tried holding down the F8 button or the control key to get
you to the list of menu options before Pro boots. This should give you
access to Normal Mode so you can boot into it.

Also if you right mouse click on My Computer and go to the properties
page, you should gain access to where it says whether you are in a
domain or not. If you are, send it back to a workgroup and pick any
name. Are you logging in the machine as an administrator equivlent
account ?

Your CapsLock key is stuck. Please stop shouting.
