My daughter allowed the latest windows patch to download and install...unfortunately.
I don't know what it was, but when problems started to occur, I went back to a previous restore point
Now everytime it boots, I get the dialog box labeled "here". it shows "outsideerror = 0 success = 0
Does anybody know what this is and how do I fix/get rid of it?
I've looked everywhere

Thanks.

What does outsideerror=0 success= mean, and where does it come?

have you checked add/remove programs that should show all the m$
patches that were downloaded (if you're running XP).

This has nothing to do with the latest patch. The outsideerror=0 succes
error is caused by evil ClientMan spyware. Files associated are MSCKIN
and MSCMAN.EXE. Look in Add/Remove Programs for ClientMan and
uninstall. This spyware usually comes in with a file-sharing program,
and removing it will probably cause the parent program to be broken.
ClientMan connects to Odysseus Marketing. You may need to go into the
registry and delete anything pertaining to Client Man. Since you have
one infestation, you probably have others. Remove spyware with Spybot
Search & Destroy from www.security.kolla.de and Ad-aware from
www.lavasoftusa.com. Be sure to update these programs before running
them. It is best to run antivirus and spyware removal tools in Safe
Mode.

If you need more help, please don't hesitate to repost. Please include
what you've already done to troubleshoot the problem.

Happy New Year,

Malke
