Hi all
I have a problem on one of my 2000 servers. An application that was
running as a service has been removed and when the
machine is restarted it throws an error about the service failing.
How can I remove this application from the list
of services? It's currently titled "?".
Thanks
Mark

Delete it from the registry service subkey
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services

You can download delsrv.exe from MS as part of the win2k resource kit.
