Help!!!! home folder problem

S

shaun

When I create a new user and put his
home dir in a shared folder called 2003$
when the user logs on it does not get the
application data folder which paths the desktop
My Documents and other application to his
network home folder.

I can rectify this by moving his home folder to
on of the existing folders i.e 1994$

I need to create the users in these year folders
as they are students in a school.

It is strange cause I cannot see any permission
difference between the existing folders and the
new one.

Any ideas AT ALL would be much appreciated !!!

Is this server 2003 or 2000? Windows 2003 by default sets Everyone-Read instead of Everyone-Full Control permission on the share, this might be your case.
