Can you ask this "young girl" what she did? (And while you're at it,
ask her parents to ground her for messing with your maching.)

no I cannot since it is not my computer and besides that
will not fix the problem. I would like to know what she
did in just a few minutes to cause this.

Maybe she didn't do anything. If you don't have a decent firewall and an
antivirus program with the latest virus definitions, just being online makes
you vulnerable to a number of things that can trash your system.

even the windows welcome is not in english.
Think it is a problem with menus and dialog language
settings but do not know how to fix.

still need help this person is running windows home but when the welcome
screen comes up it has symbols not english and when I go to language in
control panel it shows an intry that has symbols not english tried deleting
but will not let me.
