Help! Help is Missing!

I had to reinstall xp for a friend after a virus attack.
When installing I got this message:
Com+Setup error
sub component com+raised an exception while processing
the OC_COMPLETE INSTALLATION SETUP MESSAGE.
d:\nt\com
scr\completesetup\ccomplus ???
An unexpected internal error was detected. The com +
event could not be registered.
line 565
error code 0x08004026

Now, all runs well EXCEPT help and support will not
start.I got this message:
ERROR 1058
The service cannot be started because it is disabled or
because it has no enabled devices associated with it"

I have checked services.msc and help and support is
started.

Please help if you can

Laurie,
After reading these posts...I agree...please take that PC to a legit shop
in your area and have someone who really knows what they are doing work on
it. YOU should not try this type of thing again.

Hi Laurie,

I did a little searching and came up with this as a possible solution for
the Com+Setup error (which is probably affecting Help and Support):

Open a command prompt window, and key in the following commands.....
cd /d %windir%\system32
<ENTER>
regsvr32 ole32.dll
<ENTER>
<Click on OK in the RegSvr32 dialogue box>
regsvr32 oleaut32.dll
<ENTER>
<Click on OK in the RegSvr32 dialogue box>
exit
<ENTER>

Then follow the instructions in this MSKB article to clean up a damaged COM+
Catalog:
