I did a large body of work, ammending my employers requested document. I
unfortunately went to save as - - - and instead of selecting my documents it
went into the Temp files and I can't access it now. I've tried norton file
recovery, and i've tried to recreate the file path in My computer, Explore -
- - all to no avail. I know this file is on here I just can't find it.

If you haven't used the app since, you can re-open the application you used
and check to see if the File Menu has a Document list.

If not, try Saving another document and see what folder it opens to save.
It should open the last Save Folder you used.

Have you tried Start Menu | Recent Documents and see if it's in the list?

Do you know the name of the file including the file extension?

Hope this helps.

I have found the File Path
C:/Documents&Settings/Jack&Liz/Local Settings/Temp/Temporary Internet
Files/Content.IE5/GAM...

We'll I've changed the settings in Control Panel to allow me to see hidden
files and still when I follow the path no files show up.

I've searched recent documents my cookies, everything.
I've done advanced searches selecting to ssearch all files including hidden
files and system files. then typing " *Master List* " (the file's name is
10-15-06 Master List) or alternately typing " *10-15-06* " and still nothing
shows up.

So basically I've had to start a new with my lesson learned. Then doing work
at 2a.m. make sure your files are saved in your documents before you close
out....

Thanks for all the info anyway.

Did you move your Temporary Internet Files folder to under Temp. That is
not the default place. The default place is:

C:/Documents and Settings/Jack and Liz/Local Settings/Temporary Internet
Files/Content.IE5/GAM...

and if that is the location, you need to really muck with the folders in
order to view them. It is easier to
access them under CMD windows.
