Help! External Drive not found

Hi there!

I really hope someone can help me!

I just bought an external hard drive and enclosure and when I plug th
cable into my computer it recognizes that its attached - but when I g
into my Explore function so taht I can drag my files onto it - its n
where to be found?!! I dont see it listed in any 'DRIVE' o
anything....all I can find is that its supposedly in "Location 0"
whatever that means!!!

I dont know what do to!! where can i find it? thank you to anyone wh

I'm assuming that you don't have a partition table set on the drive. Right
click on My computer and select Manage. Then, you'll see the computer
management console. Look for the selection in the left hand column named
"Disk Management." You should be able to see your unpartitioned, unformatted
drive there. Right click on it and select Partition. Partition it for NTFS
and then right click on the drive again and select Format. You'll then be
able to see and use the drive in My Computer.
