I'm running XP Home. Whenever I try to run the Windows or Internet
Explorers, the curosr changes to an hour glass for a few seconds, then it
turns back to the arrow. However, neither program actually executes. I've
examined the Task Manager while doing this, and the CPU useage jumps for a
second, then collapses again. It appears that any application attached to
the Windows Explorer (i.e. Control Panel), exhibits the same behavior. There
is no error message or anything. All other apps run fine.
Does anybody have any clue as to what to check for?
