Help! Excel Crash Problem!

I have an application that is being upgraded from Windows95 to XP. I
has an Excel interface that opens in the application. Currently I ca
open old reports, print, and enter new data and sort it. When I try t
save the report, the entire application crashes. Anyone have any ideas
I cannot touch the code until an entire re-write is approved. :rolleyes
 
Do you have access to different versions of excel?

Maybe you could try opening the workbook in one of them to see if that works.

You may want to try OpenOffice. If the file is corrupted, OpenOffice may be
able to open it.

(And if the file is corrupted and is really important, there are commercial
recovery services. I've never used it, but you might want to check into:
