Help does not appear in Visual Studio.NET

FrodoBaggins

Dear Team,

I am using Visual Studio.NET version 7.1.3088.

I went through the four main installation steps and chose to install the
help files, in Step 3, as I remember.

When an error occurs with in VS.NET, a dialog box appears with a short
message and with 'Cancel' and 'Help' buttons. However when I click the
'Help' button, I get a message along the lines of:

"Help has not been installed."

I know that it has. How do I get VS.NET to recognise that help has been
installed?

Hi,

Thanks for posting.

Have you tried to use the "Repair" function?

1. Open "Add/Remove Programs" from your control panel.

2. Locate MSDN in the "Currently installed programs".

3. Click the "Change" button.

4. Select "Repair" in the "Program Maintenance" page.

This process may take some time but I hope it helps.

Regards,
