Help--doc files won't auto open with WORD

I use WORD97.

All of a sudden, when I click a .doc file, it now opens with WORDPAD. How do
I reset things so that it automatically opens with WORD??

(This happened after I ran decrappifier)

Hello Mel,

In Explorer or My Computer, go to Tools => Folder Options => File
Types
Scroll down to the .doc extension
Click the 'Change' button and select Word, or browse to the
winword.exe executable if it's not listed.
