help! display is sideways!

i was playing a game that took up the whole screen last night, a a friend IMd
me, and now my display is rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise. it's really
annoying. i know it's a problem with the OS because when i restarted my
computer, everything looked fine til it asked me for my password/was
completely turned on.

somebody help me please!

The ability to rotate the screen image is a feature of your video
card, to help it work with monitors that rotate to portrait
orientation. You accidentally pressed Ctrl-Alt, and some arrow key.
Rotate it back using those keys.

thanks! it's still got black bars on the sides, though. any idea on how to

Try the sizing controls on the monitor itself.
