Hello folks. I accidently quick-formated my c: drive last night and
now everything is gone :( Im tried to scan my NTFS drive with several
programs. The first time i scanned with "File Scavenger" i found
everything but couldnt recover it cause it I hadnt bought the program.
I tried some other programs but they were all a failure. I finally
took the decision to buy the "File Scavenger" but now I'm scanning i
cant find anything!! It seems to be scanning correctly BUT the program
finds the files I have on my disk right now. All the old ones are
gone. Please give me some help... Im a big geek and thats like the end
of the world to me.... PLEASE

sigh< Clean install Windows, reinstall programs from cd, restore data
from backup. I find that Ontrack's Easy Recovery Pro works quite well,
but it is expensive. If you tried free programs with no luck, then I'd
suggest something like Ontrack's software (I believe they have
trialware which will at least let you see if you *could* recovery
anything) or the Kings Of Data Recovery: www.drivesavers.com. Only you
can decide whether your data is worth what professional data recovery
costs.
