Help: Different Netbios name

I have a Windows XP Prof SP1 client that somehow has changed its Netbios
name. The name of the computer in the System Properties - Computer Name tab
is correct, but WINS gives it a completely different name. I keep getting
errors on my DC's saying that the computer setup from "the netbios name" has
failed. Of course it would fail because that user doesn't have
administrative rights.

How could it's Netbios name have changed and where would I fix it?
