Please help. I have done something and need your help. The computer is an
EMachine,AMD3400+, 1gig mem. THere are maybe 2 reasons why it is not running
correctly. I had installed a second drive as MASTER only 2 months ago, last
night I pulled it out and put the original HD as master, leaving other HD out.
Also I was trying to remove old McAfee files and I ran the mcafee removal
tool, no lucck, and I also ran a registry cleaner made by UNIblue. I manually
removed the mcafee files and their folders ,all except one file that must be
write protected. I tried to install new McAfee sftwre and the begenning
screen only had a box with no text. I tried to connect here and could not
post because this white area I am now typing in was not here(am on a
different computer now). OK HERE is the problem, I have ran MSCONFIG and
found that many services are stopped for no apparent reason. Here is a list
of some(not all) of them under the SERVICES tab that have stopped:
Application Management, ASP,
..NET State Service, Cryptographic services,Local disk management
HTTP SSL, Imapi cd-burning, MHN, Distributed transaction Coordinator,Windows
Installer,NT LM Security support,Remote procedure call,QoS RSVP, Smartcard,
Print Spooler.

I can still boot and surf with the computer,I can check mail, but when
surfing, many items do not load on the webpage.
Someone PLEASE tell me what I did and how to clear it up.

Many Thanks!
Rod H.

You done no favour to yourself by mixing the story, you looks like jumping
from one HDD to another, specially eMachines?.
First make sure your machine clean from malwares and viruses By scanning for
them from here:

Run a scan from here online:
http://www3.ca.com/securityadvisor/virusinfo/scan.aspx
Download Avast Cleaner from here:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast-virus-cleaner.html
Lots of tools to download and disinfect your machine:
http://www.bitdefender.co.uk/site/Downloads/browseFreeRemovalTool/

For Malwares download both these software:
http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php
http://www.safer-networking.org ; for Spybot S&D

Run a Disk CleanUp on your computer and delete the temp or download this
tool to clean up the temp read the help file first:
http://www.ccleaner.com
you can use it to Clean up McAfee or you can contact them or download the
Removal tool from here:
http://ts.mcafeehelp.com/faq3.asp?docid=408302
