Help configuring XP to logon on to Win 2000 Domain

Hello:

I am curious to learn how you can change the network
settings on an existing XP Pro machine to logon on to a
newly installed Windows 2000 domain. Currently, the XP
Pro machines are configured peer-to-peer. I tried to
access the client for Microsoft Networks in the
networking properties, however, I fail to see where I can
configure the box to logon to an AD Domain. It's
different than Win 9x. Please help!

Hey dude, well if u want a WinXP pc to join a domian if
that's what u want then just left click on My Computer,
then Computer Name. Now once your in there you'll see
your computers details on the network like work group and
Full Computer name etc etc, now click on Change under
Network ID, then it will another window will apear asking
u, ur Computer Name, etc now there's a little bit at the
button saying Member Of = 1. Domain 2. Work Group.
Obvoisly u click on 1. Domian then go on from there, also
before u tell a computer to connect to a domain, you
should setup ur clients DNS info to ur Domain
Controller's DNS setting, coz from theory once u've
install a domain on what eva server o/s it will ask u to
install a DNS server... Well i hope that's ok with u m8
and if u need more help dont hesitate to ask.
