Help! Cells only update when i click save

I have a mildly bizarre issue with excel. I have a fairly complex workbook,
and linked cells and functions will only update when I click the save button.
Previously, if I made a change then data would update immediately, but now I
must click save. Has anyone experienced this also? Is there a way to fix
this? Thank you for your help!

Is calculation set to manual in Tools>Options...>Calculation?

What version of Excel are you using?
You said "previously", implying there was a precipitating event. If so, to
what event did it work prior?
