Help! Can't log on!

My windows xp suddenly decdided to not log all the way
in. When I hit the log in screen, it goes to my
wallpaper, but never loads the icons, tool bars etc.
I've done a virus scan (from safe mode, the only way I
can get in) and gone back to a safe point, but nothing
seems to work.
 
Sounds like you may have to repair your OS.

use the win xp disk to repair "not RE INSTALL"
CD should load files and promt you with option to repair,
F2 key I think.
