Help! Can't log on to Vista

Tom

Purchased MS Wireless desktop 6000 v2 to replace a keyboard plugged into the
PS2 ports. Installed derivers as instructed then followed prompt to reboot.
Now no keyboard is recognized and I can't get in to Vista, even in safe mode
as I can't get past the log in screen. PS-2 ad wireless keyboard 6000 v2
both work in bios, so I know the computer itself recognizes them, just can't
get in to Vista. Any Ideas?
Thanks,

Does the keyboard have a Enhanced F-Key Functionality key lock of some sort?
Try unlocking if one is present.

F-Key is off on both keyboards. Also plugged in a plain vanillakeyboard with
no luck.

Whew, fixed my problem. Booted with the vista install disk. On the screen
where you begin the install there is an option to fix installation on the
lower left. My keyboard and mouse worked here. This took me to an area
where I could do a system restore to a previous restore point. I thought you
could only do this after logging on. Restored to a point from this morning,
and I'm back in business. Had all my data backed up, but wasn't looking
forward to a total reinstall.

Access to System Restore when you boot with the dvd is new to Vista.

Glad you got it fixed.
