HELP!!! Can't get past Login screen on DC

When I bootup on the DC, I get the "LSASS.EXE - System Error, security
accounts manager initialization failed because of the following error:
Directory Services cannot start. Error status 0xc00002e1" and then it
reboots. When I login using the "Directory Services Restore Mode" I get the
"Loading your personal settings dialog box redisplayed, followed by the
Saving your settings dialog box". However, the desktop does not appear, and
the Welcome to Windows logon screen is displayed again.

Is there anything I can do to successfuly login to the DC? HELP is needed
and appreciated from ALL.

Here's what I have done:
I have restored the backup (I guess its bad too) with same result;
I can logon to the DC via the nextwork. Attempts to use NTDSUTIL shows the
ntds.dit is corrupt. I have used MS KB 271641,233188
