Help: Can't copy files from CD to hard drive

I have a CD from someone and can't copy the files from it to my system harddrive. When I drag files from the CD to my folder, I get an error message "Cannot copy [name of file]: The parameter is incorrect". I did a search of the Knowledge Base but came up empty.

The drive is okay because I can copy files from other CD's.

Need help.
 
Does the CD in question have Copy protection? Some forms of Copy
protection make the file appear to loop back on itself and then any
attempts to copy will choke.
 
You've got a damaged or otherwise bad CD.
