help..cannot delete avi file..grr

N

nugget

used dr divx to convert a dvd file to a 700mb to an .avi
file but instead left it as 3.9gb file.
"cannot delete a file maybe in use by another program or
file" is the error message.
I uninstalled Dr Divx and deleted from the registry as
well but still coming with the same error message.
This file is affecting the speed of my hard drive for some
reason??
Any ideas!

Hi nugget,

To delete the file in Windows XP, remove the following registry key.

Goto Start >Run >Type "regedit" go to

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{87D62D94-71B3-4b9a-9489-5FE6850D
C73E}\InProcServer32] - Delete this key

This prevents Windows Explorer from loading shmedia.dll in response to
the property queries on these files.

Good luck
