Cannot delete folder

Ruth

There is a folder on my pc that I cannot delete. It is in my Start Menu,
Programs. The folder itself is empty and the attributes say 0. But when I
try and delete it, the message appears 'Cannot delete file: Cannot read from
the source file or disk'. I've tried everything I know to get rid of it.
It's not a system file, just a game that I installed and have since
uninstalled. It uninstalled everything but left this silly folder that I
cannot delete. Help!!!

Hi Ruth,

Reboot and go into Safe Mode and delete the folder from there. However,
make sure that you are viewing all files and folders on your Computer. There
may be a Hidden File or Folder within that folder, in use, which you can't
delete.

Open up Explore. Click Tools then Folder Options. Click View. Then look
at the options you have and make changes. Click Apply then OK.

Check the folder again and try to delete it.

Drag and drop it to some other location , then try and delete .

Thanks for your suggestions, I had already tried both of them and they
hadn't been able to delete the folder. But I went online and found a
wonderful little program called UNLOCKER. It worked like a charm.
Thanks again.
