don't use this new Windows Mail much, however it's the only program I have
with my new Vista computer that will
download messages in newsgroups.

I went to a newsgroup that has mp3s posted in multiple files. I selected all
the files, joined them but then nothing happens. It looks like it's joining
then when it's done, I still see all 10 messages there. In my old newsgroup
program (Forte Agent), you would automatically see the ONE joined file that
could be downloaded. When the messages get downloaded all I see is the
coding in the message. How the heck do I successfully join these files and
get the music file?

In Agent I also had to get a UUENCODE program that would change the coded
message into an MP3. Sorry I can't explain it better than that. Do I need to
get something like this for Windows Mail too? If so what do I do?

Please be simple, I'm not that much of a techy gal.
Thanks

In Windows Mail, after you join them, you have to right click on one of
them,
then click on Combine and Decode. This should be enough for most codes.
Windows Mail includes a Uuencode decoder and a few more, but not a yEnc
decoder. Let us know if you need some other type of decoder.
