HELP ! I cannot get into Windows XP only get a blue screen with a message: A
problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to
your computer.

Message also says to try: Disable BIOS Memory options such as caching or
shadowing.
Being a bit inexperienced on this stuff I do not know how to do that.

Also having trouble getting to open Winodws XP in Safe Mode by using F8.
At what point of start-up do I press F8 to get into the Safe Mode?

The trouble codes listed on the blue screen are:
*** STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x00000014, 0x00000002, 0xF84B5000, 0xF84B80F8)
*** Ide Chn Dr.sys - Address F84B80F8 base at F84B5000, DateStamp 3bd89c65

The computer is completely locked up. Last thing I remember doing was
downloading some kind of Microsoft critical updates.

MANY THANKS for any help out there.

Hi,
I went to the web site and looked at D1. The phone number for Mylex Corporation
(for an updated driver) is no longer is service. Have they been taken over by
someone else or is the driver available somewhere else? Thanks.
Brad
