Help! Blue Screen errors in Windows XP Pro

M

Michael Rodgers

Hi there,

I'm getting frequent BSOD's on a machine I have just built.

The machine is a Shuttle SN45G2 with Nforce2 Ultra 400 chipset. It has an
AMD Athlon 1400Mhz CPU, 512Mb PC3200 DDR and a GeForce3 Ti200. I'm using
Windows XP with SP2 integrated.

I'ven been getting BSOD's ever since I finished building it.

These BSOD's have been:

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA
BAD_POOL_HEADER.
PFN_LIST_CURRUPT

So far I have tested the memory using Memtest86, and found no issues. I have
also been using MBM5 to check my CPU temp, and there is no issue there
either. It seems to BSOD entirely at random, the last one I had was after
the machine had been idle for about 60 seconds as I was just reading a web
page. There is very little in the way of installed software on the machine
becuase I've only just built it and I've been getting these BSOD's pretty
much right from the word go.

I have also tried changing my graphics card drivers (The version I had,
however, works perfectly on my main machine) back to a known good set, but
this did not help.

With the exception of the graphics card and CPU, all components are brand
new.

Any ideas? Cheers.
