help and support wont work

when i ckick start then "help and support" computer does
not respond. Nothing opens up or expand to the other
options.
It was working fine but for some reason it stoped working.
My AVG antivirus detected a trojan which was removed and
perhaps that corrupted that option.

How can I retore that option

Windows XP pro ver. 2600
SP1a service pack
