David Candy

Just went to H&S. Won't show me anything unless I log in.

I might tie up their phone with a tech support incident.

Umm log into what? There is no login for the public KB, I even just
went and checked myself on both support.microsoft.com and through help
and support to make sure they didn't change something..got into
articles no problem with no login.

I've been running experiments. Still some more to do. Web access does the same. Are you logged into MS site passport and it's remembering.

Hi David,

You're apparently using Help & Support module, and then using the Search function. I just tried it on my system, and I'm not seeing the login frame. I "can" navigate the KB search results.

I did notice a slight difference this morning at the support.microsoft.com web page (about advanced search having moved (?) but it's likely only the placement of search link).
But that's not your problem issue.

Perhaps it has to do with the presence or lack of it, of a cookie from ms support site ?

Attached is a snapshot from my H & S. I notice yours shows more results then mine when searching on "content extension"?

No, I was not logged in when I ran my test.
